About 

My interest in design is long standing and my well-rounded background makes me an excellent candidate. At a young age, my family and lived in several destinations around the world adapting to my father’s work such as Miami, The Bahamas, New York, Jamaica, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Houston. I was exposed to new cultures and experiences that have contributed to who I am now.
I am a dynamic and ambitious architect with seven years’ experience in various projects on luxury hotels, high-rise residential, commercial buildings, mixed-use urban designs and interior design. Since graduating from the University of Houston, I have worked in several well-known architecture and design companies.

I am currently living in Miami, Florida and wish to remain in the city.

NMR Design Group, Miami, FL, US, Senior Designer

• Lead designer in selection of FF&E and color and materials for commercial + residential projects in coordination with other team members for presentation to clients and space planning concepts. Perform interior design assignments using professional concepts and procedures. Produce 3D renderings using SketchUp.
• Review pricing, materials and customization for projects and provides design support for completion/execution of design concepts. Work with consultants, furniture dealers, product reps, and fabricators to meet overall project objectives.
• Coordinate finish plans, specifications, and material selections required for construction. Supervise all onsite work and installations.

• As a trade-only showroom for interior designers, I assisted designers to utilize its network of suppliers and in depth industry knowledge to serve a variety of specialized wholesale home furnishing needs.
• Mastered the product and quality of over 50 vendors in the furniture industry. Worked directly with designers and vendors under pressure, multi-tasked and balanced several projects to meet clients’ deadlines.

• Directed client contact in the Design Center and at the costumer’s home to create individualized design solutions to sell Ethan Allen products and Services. Upheld the integrity of the brand by product knowledge and design in space planning, floor plans, fabric coordination, product selection, color scheme and overall project design.
• Exceeded beyond sales goal requirements every month. Worked under pressure, multi-tasked and balanced several projects to meet deadlines. Maintained a consistent client base and built long term relationships with clients as well as the company.

• Focused in Interior Design and Marketing. Managed my own clients and was decision maker in interior details, materials, color selection, furniture, lighting design, space planning and finishes on high end residential.
• Created marketing proposal packages with scopes, data, analysis, products and contracts. Direct client contact; travelling, presentations, material palettes, renderings, and networking. Participated in every prospect client meeting with the President and Operations Manager of the firm.

• Assisted PM on several large-scale mix-use urban and commercial projects from Schematic Design to CD’s in the State of Florida. Prepared submittals for city permits in all phases of new and existing buildings. Coordinated with all project consultants such as MEP, ID, Civil, Life Safety, Landscape and Structural. Picked-up redlines of all levels of plans, sections and elevations. Participated in site observations and completion of punch lists.
• Designer in interior layouts for hotels, high-end residential, retail and commercial projects. Worked closely with engineers to creatively solve interior layouts as per their requirements, such as underground parking and BOH. Knowledge of code analysis, area calculations, project data, programming, custom detailing and materials palette. Knowledge of building/ADA codes.
• Direct contact with clients and consultants in project meetings; in state, out of state and internationally. Targeted international clients from countries such as Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador and Mexico.

• Part of the interior design team in a 55,000 m2 commercial shopping center in Managua, Nicaragua. Designed interior layouts for public restrooms, food court, retail spaces and the food court façade. Met with manufactures for selection of bathroom fixtures and finishes.
• Decision maker for interior materials. Selecting patterns, finishes and colors for flooring. Participated in the selection of the food court furniture along with the owner.
• Worked with upper management to target new clients.
