About

I have always had an interest and fascination with architecture and buildings.  Ever since I was a child I have been designing and building structures.  While at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California Architecture and Design Program, my primary area of study was the design and creation of spaces.  That creative focus was wonderful, but I was always drawn to go deeper and to address the engineering calculations, seismic loads, wind loads and everything that had to do with structural components.

After graduating with my Architecture degree, I began working as a Construction Superintendent for the City of Tijuana, MX.   I was pointed in an unexpected direction:  Even though my background was in Architecture, I was given engineering projects.   I started supervising work on bridges, water channels, and streets and many projects involving steel, concrete and earthworks. I was working with my knowledge, and at the same time learning and increasing my engineering experience. I worked for the City in this capacity for three years.

In 2007, I was hired by LNI Custom Manufacturing, Inc. they needed a Project Manager for their Tijuana operation.  They relocated me to Los Angeles for a six month training, and ended up keeping me on there to manage the national projects that were considered to have high engineering standards.   After 5 years I’ve managed over 300 projects for LNI and been promoted from Project Manager to Senior Project Manager and I am now the Design & Engineering Manager/Senior Project Manager.
