My name is Jenna Martini. I am currently in my eighth and final semester studying Architecture at the University of Kentucky College of Design. I have also studied at The Bauhaus (Anhault University) in Dessau, Germany last summer for three months. I applied to the University of Kentucky, The Ohio State University, Virginia Tech, and Miami University (Oxford) to continue my studies at the graduate level in Fall of 2012. I am seeking a summer internship for this coming summer time period of May through August or September. I am intrigued by the possibilities of architecture and it's potential.
Hyatt Regency, Cincinnati, Waitress
Learned what it means to work for a corporate company in a team environment, interact with customers from around the world, and successfully manage stressful situations during peak hours of the day.
University of Kentucky, Lexington, BArch, Architecture
I began studying interior design in August of 2008 and continued until May 2010. I received the Second Year Design Achievement Award from the dean and decided I was hyper-curious about the possibilities of an entire building. I re-applied to the University of Kentucky College of Design: Architecture and was accepted. I worked with the assistant dean to transfer credits and signed up for a rigorous summer course load to be able to graduate this spring. I have managed to maintain a 3.8 studio grade point average and have been blessed to work on projects with Habitat for Humanity, engineers, and even other graduate students in taking a graduate level studio this fall. I look forward to my last semester.
