Yahayra Rosario-Cora

Savannah, GA, US

I am an architect by training and have a dual Master of Arts degree in Design Management and Design for Sustainability. . I strongly believe in the philosophy regarding design focused on helping people turn their public spaces into vital community places and serve community needs. Through my academic and professional career I have been interested in projects that utilize design thinking to find solutions and create awareness for urban revitalization through sustainable practices. I have special interest in projects that focus on generating awareness within disadvantaged communities that do not have enough resources for adequate education and infrastructure. To truly change a community and become effective designers, I advocate for including citizen participation in the ideation process, interacting with the community, and assembling cross-disciplinary teams.
