For the past four years, I was a project architect in the Higher Education Studio at Lord Aeck & Sargent. Where I led a design team in the development of a Museum in Savannah, Georgia for Savannah’s College of Art & Design. I managed the overall design of the facility as well as managed the production team. I worked closely with the owner, consultants, and general contractor to realize the owner’s vision from conception to construction. Also, in that time I managed to assist the company’s marketing department in enhancing company graphics and a more complete branding strategy.
Currently, I am member of the AIA Atlanta Board of Directors. As the Communication Director I am working closely with a Branding & Marketing company to produce marketing strategies and materials that appeal to our membership as well as the public. I expect to improve and grow AIA Atlanta’s presence within our local community as well as capture more members during these difficult financial times.
Professionally and personally I seek out opportunities to challenge and diversify my expertise. I would like to bring these varied skills to HOK and I look forward to discussing any available jobs with you. I can be reached at 404.219.9078 or at DanLSweeney@gmail.com.
