About

Briefly...

The recession of 2009 put me in the position to take pause and consider the path I was on. Sustainable Agriculture afforded me the opportunity to step back and see the world at a slower pace.

After that hiatus from the field of Architecture, I decided to return with renewed passion and new-found maturity. That time spent focusing in specific places; physically laboring on the use and improvement of those places, coincidentally changed my outlook toward Architecture. No longer did I have the attitude, cultivated in school and reinforced thru magazines, of Architecture as some big, sweeping gesture but now, I recognize it’s impact and role in the specifics of Place and Time. I have a deep passion for urban agriculture and would love to explore the intersections between that and Architecture as a means for improving the lives of people in cities.

I feel as if Architecture is best realized through practice, research and learning.  I believe that my unorthodox path through life that has led me back to Architecture gives me a unique perspective that would make me a valuable asset to any Architecture practice.

I have a family, a loving wife Teresa and two young children Og and Elm.

In addition to Agriculture and Architecture I enjoy ride my bicycle, Graphic Deisgn and Underground/Expiremental music.
