Searl Lamaster Howe, Chicago, IL, US, Architectural Designer/Draftsman
Temporary position as architectural designer / draftsman for the Dwyer Residence. My work as the primary drafter and producer of construction documents for the project required strong independent initiative and very organized coordination between principal architect, client, structural engineer, and local construction consultant to ensure that the concepts, ideas, and sketches of the architect and client were transposed in to working architectural drawings. The result is a full set of plans, sections, elevations, details, schedules, and diagrams to what will be a truly beautiful vacation home. Other work included detailing, revisions, and coordination of architectural drawings for other projects including the Wesbury Residence.

My contributions to the design and development of the Wellness Center can be seen through out the building, but most directly in the window and door detailing. My responsibilities, as part of the design team, included the production of construction documents and working hand in hand with the custom window manufacturers, meeting natural day lighting requirements and the aesthetic desires of the clients.
