I am currently a dual degree graduate student, majoring in architecture and City and Regional Planning in University of Texas at Arlington. I will receive both degrees in spring 2012. While I have an architectural undergraduate degree, pursuing both degrees allows me not only the profession in architectural design, but also the broad theories in planning. My passion is using design to bring people together and give them a sense of community.
I previously worked as a graduate teaching assistant in UT-Arlington for architectural communication where I was trained to have great eyes for drawing details. While there, I worked with the professor to create exercises, grade and help students for both technical and freehand architectural drawing techniques. Currently, I work at Arlington Urban Design Center as architect/planner intern. This position allows me to handle projects as small as façade improvement to as big as regional development. My experience has provided me with a solid foundation in handling real world project and communication with clients.
