An in-depth program of studies that involved a strong focus on advanced design skills, sustainable practices, research-based design, and even basic studies in graphic design, web design and illustration. An emphasis was placed on technical and presentation skills as well.

My graduate studio was a year-long program led by Kansas City's El Dorado Architects. The studio was focused on design solutions on a community scale, creating innovative and elegant designs in the urban environment. The second semester revolved around studying the impact of the interstate highway cutting through urban neighborhoods, then designing large-scale interventions to transform a former blight into a benefit. Our final exhibition, titled UNDER.ON.GONE., was publicly presented to the surrounding community in an effort to provide insight and provoke conversations on the issues at hand. The AIA Central States Region honored the exhibition with the Award for Excellence in Master Planning/Urban Design.
