About

Born and raised in Beirut, Adib Dada earned a BAr in Architecture at the American University of Beirut - Lebanon in 2006, a Master’s Degree in the Interactive Telecommunications Program at NYU - USA in 2011 and is currently pursuing a BSpecialist certification from the Biomimicry Institute in Arizona. His interests lie in the transdisciplinary dialogue between architecture, living systems, technology and art, which he aims to pursue through his Architecture and Design practice theOtherDada; developing creative solutions that have a positive impact. As a fervent supporter of Beirut’s contemporary public art scene, Dada has advised Solidere, the Lebanese Company for the Development and Reconstruction of Beirut City Center, on the commission and installation of public artworks including those by artist Arne Quinze and designer Pablo Reinoso, as well as heading a team of advisers and curators to set up a Contemporary Art collection promoting emerging Lebanese artists for Le Yacht Club. Dada acts as Creative Director for the masterplan design of N+, positioned as a major creative hub in Ningbo, China that will be environmentally sustainable and feature design schools, fashion embassies and research facilities, winner of the 2012 MIPIM Architectural Review Future Projects Awards. His work has been featured on the site ‘Inhabitat’ and in the book ‘Monochromes’ by artist Joe Kesrouani. Dada is the co-founder of Karaj, a not-for-profit lab for experimental arts, architecture and technology in Beirut.
