About 

I just finished my degree is Journalism with a major in Print Media, and a minor in Photography at SAIT Polytechnic; which also consisted of web design, layout design and public relations, marketing, media relations, communications, and graphic design,  but have also studied Public Relations, Women's Studies, Theatre and Communications at the University of Calgary.

 

As a writer, I have been published in The Weal newspaper, where I was a editor for the Outlook section and Editor for the Arts and Entertainment Section in 2010 and a Staff writer for all sections in 2010/11. My published work consists of fashion, arts, music, Theatre, lifestyle, news, trends, investigative reporting, entertainment and sports.

I have also been published in the Weekly Albertan Newspaper, as an editor, writer, and layout designer.

 

You can also find my published written and photography work on CalgaryFashion.ca, and the cover of the Calgary Sun homes sections. As well as a published photo shoot for Peak Communicators (Public Relations Agency) client- Ford Motors.

I have also worked in Public Relations for Peak Communicators.

 

As for Photography, I will pretty much shot everything! So far I have shot runway for all news papers above as well as Calgary Fashion for Alberta Fashion Week for the last two years, Fashion has no borders and Parkshow 2011.

I also conduct personal photo shoots, for family portraits, weddings, maternity, fashion, beauty, bands, dance shows and cover various news shots and events around the city.

Harvard Broadcasting Scholarship Award, Award

Awarded to a full-time student who will be enrolled in the final year of Bachelor of Communication - Journalism in the upcoming fall semester.
Criteria:
1) Academic excellence: minimum GPA of 3.50
2) Extracurricular activities: community and/or campus involvement and demonstrated leadership skills

Jason Lang Scholarship, Award

Sponsored by: Established in the memory of Jason Lang, a 17 year old high school student who was killed in a school shooting, and administered by Alberta Scholarship Programs.

Purpose: To reward the outstanding academic achievement of Alberta post-secondary students who are continuing full-time in an undergraduate program in Alberta.

Value: $1,000

Eligibility: Recipients are nominated by the Student Awards Office at participating Alberta post-secondary institutions.

Nominees must be Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents and Alberta residents.
Recipients are nominated on the basis of achieving a minimum GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale in the previous academic year while maintaining enrolment in at least 80 per cent of a full course load. Nominees must also be progressing in their post-secondary program and continuing their full-time post-secondary studies at an eligible Alberta educational institution to receive the scholarship. Students continuing their full-time studies out-of-province are not eligible.

Alberta Blue Cross Scholarship, Award

Alberta Blue Cross has established a $1 million scholarship fund to assist young Albertans pursuing post-secondary studies across the province. The fund celebrates the organization's 50th anniversary, and supports 63 scholarships awarded each year to young Albertans entering full-time post-secondary study in Alberta. These scholarships range from $375 to $1,250, and are awarded to Alberta students on the basis of academic achievement and financial need.

Most awards are administered directly through the accredited post-secondary institutions listed below. Alberta Blue Cross's three annual scholarships for Aboriginal students are administered directly by Alberta Blue Cross. Deadlines and application processes vary from one institution to another.
