I graduated from the University of Arizona in 1981 and moved to the east coast to work with local architects for my apprenticeship. In 1989 I was hired by WATG honolulu as a project designer. A wonderful experience. I opened my first office "Remodeling of Hawaii" in 1991 and 1994 traveled to Kenya following a dream to work on low income housing. There were no viable projects at the time so I returned to Tucson and began working as an architect on my own, designing custom residences. My work was steady and rewarding. In 2004 my office was contacted by a large developer in Dubai and I was flown to Dubai and contracted to design 15 villas and townhouses. Then again in 2007 for 45 villas and town houses. Work slowed down both domestically and internationally. I closed my office to pursue a masters degree in fashion design. I enjoyed learning design, pattern making and construction however after a year or so I missed architectural design and began working on small projects for friends and family. I moved to Los Angeles in 2010.
That brings me to today where I am seeking to work in an architectural or construction design firm as consultant full or part time. My schedule is flexible.
