Most of my 39 years of experience has been in project management on a variety of project types including medical, educational, hospitality, restaurant, commercial and residential.  My duties have included the full range of architectural services including programming, design, construction document production, bidding, governmental approvals, and construction administration. 

I understand the business aspects of an architectural practice, gaining valuable experience managing branch offices for architectural firms as well as my own architectural practices.  My duties have included development of office budgets and monitoring office expenses and incomes reports,  bookkeeping, proposal writing, interview processes, contracts, client interaction, staff development and supervision.

I have also served as a school district's owner's representative completing multipe projects valued at $36 million on time and under budget.  I wrote multiple grant applications with awards totaling more than $500,000.

I have developed a home builder's design department from a one perseon drafting studio to an award winning design studio with two registered architects and 8 drafters designing over 45 model homes for 11 subdivisions.  The first task I completed upon joining the home builder's staff was to design a project delivery work flow schedule defining the critical paths for projects from initial buyer contracts through construction defining the critical tasks and decision ponts and assigning time frames for each step in the process.  The schedule allowed the home builder to expand rapidily while maintaining control of the contracts, meeting the delivery schedule and delivering the projects within tight budget constraints..
