About 

As both a professional construction project manager and an owner/founder of a commercial construction company I have achieved great understanding and hands on experience of the inter workings of the construction office and field operations.  I am proficient in numerous computer languages including; Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project, Timberline, Primavera, CAD and several hybrid applications. My extensive 22 years of hands on experience have rendered immeasurable knowledge, and generated vast relationships with development professionals throughout Southern California. My experience and incisive business sense would benefit any development firm. My objective is to team with other professionals where my ambitious, problem solving, out of the box type thinking would greatly benefit.

Employment 

Shellman Construction Company, Inc., Project Manager

Responsibilities include: Participation with client in initial discussions, scope of project, estimating, choosing sub - contractors, preparing and issuing contracts. Overseeing submittals, dealing with the various agencies, Architects and Engineers involved in the project. Research and acquire permits / approvals. Coordinate trades, vendors, and the various city and state agencies to successful completion of all projects. Current projects include; 4 building complex retail complex on six acres, with approx. 125, 000 square feet in Norco. I am also the project manager for three different sites in three different cities that include doing all on and off site improvements including installing two 50 x 20 yard. Storm Tech Systems.

Gray-ICE Builders, Inc., Project Manager

Responsibilities include : Preparing budgets , proposals , schedules , RFI's , writing change orders , acquired sub bids , write contracts and scopes of work for same . Research and acquired required permits / approvals. Coordinate trades and vendors to successful completion of all projects. Recently completed; a major remodel of San Clemente Inn. This project included everything from demolition to selecting and installation of FF&E. Completed project on budget, and ahead of schedule. Remodeled Champs Restaurant at Irvine Spectrum, re - modeled Sears Costa Mesa and Laguna Hills Stores. Completed multiple T.I. projects for BP offices in La Palma. Also assisted senior management in the construction of two Hilton Hotels in Carlsbad, Ca, generated punch lists for sub contractors and vendors also interfaced with Hilton Architects for hotel inspection / approval. Completed multiple projects for the Irvine Company at the Irvine Spectrum.

Responsibilities include; Preparing a complete project package for client including acquiring all engineers, architects, testing, permits and subcontractors for project budgets, proposals, schedules, RFI's, CO's, responsibilities include : Preparing budgets , proposals schedules , RFI's , writing change orders , acquired sub bids , write contracts and scopes of work for same . Research and acquired required permits / approvals. Coordinate trades and vendors to successful completion of all projects. Staubach Design Consulting and Construction Services, Los Angeles; Owners representative on the multiple major projects in the Inland Empire: Selected and issued contracts for Architectural/Design services for a 10,000 sq. ft. commercial kitchen remodel. Researched, recommended, and secured final selection of Industrial kitchen equipment, directed civil surveys and Sub- Contractor selection. The Berthing Project: Four (4) 3 story, 40k sq. ft. hotel/dorm style structures, successfully completed and Final Occupancy issued per generated schedules and budgets. Laundry Facility: A commercial style laundry project on the same site, which included fully functional dry cleaning and standard washing capabilities for a staff of over 500. Researched, coordinated and acquired permits for (4) four new ground-up buildings ranging from 10k media/marketing center to a 70k sq. ft. sound studio. All projects consisted of County permits and approvals by local Planning Departments. Interviewed and acquired the services of Architectural Firms, General Contractors and subs as well as all Engineering - civil, soils and structural.

Pechanga Development Corporation, Executive Coordinator

Liaison for the Pechanga Elected Board overseeing all construction progress for new hotel/casino building including; weekly meetings with architects, engineers, contractors, vendors and department VP's as well as research and development of financial opportunities, design decisions for ascetic and structural features. My personal efforts completed the research and development of new financial opportunities including; cable network channel (gaming), merger with nationwide racetracks Toronto based organization (casinos), international casinos (Europe, Mexico and Thailand) and new solar heading technologies, Hollywood screen plays (celebrity pitch).

Commercial concrete construction for tilt ups, ground up, slab on grade buildings, on site, off site concrete as well as engineered retaining walls for developers, general contractors and city work. My responsibilities included; bidding projects, budgeting projects, scheduling projects, ordering equipment, ordering materials, scheduling labor and sub contractors, weekly payroll, insurances, permits, licenses, proposals, contracts, warranties, liens, office management, bookkeeping, advertising and professional relationships.
