The Rural Studio, BArch, Architecture
I have just finished spending two years designing and building the renovation of The Safe House Black History Museum. While attending the Rural Studio, I was able to experience every aspect of a project; from surveying existing conditions, collaborating with third party resources, seeking grants/donations, staging, electrical, and construction.
Istanbul Technical University, Architecture, abroad
Five months spent in Istanbul. While studying architecture at İTÜ, our studio was flown to Mardin, Turkey, to choose a site for a project. Our studio's trip was sponsored by designer Faruk Malhan of the Turkish furniture company Koleksiyon. In exchange for our trip, we were invited to design furniture inspired by the location.
