I am fascinated by humanitarian design and truly believe that architecture is a social art. Its a general misconception that good design comes at a high cost. I strive to be a part of a team that changes this and helps in making good design affordable and accessible. I am seeking a position with a firm that incorporates innovative design methods into their projects. My Master of Architecture degree from the Savannah College of Art and Design, in addition to the broad range of professional skills and talents I possess, I will bring a unique contribution to your firm.

My professional years have taught me to multi - task and meet deadlines in a timely fashion. I am an expert with AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite and highly competent with Sketchup. Furthermore, I am a quick learner especially when it comes to computer software. During my internship with Kossar & Gary I performed site surveys and was responsible for the emergency evacuation plans for several commercial buildings in downtown New York. I also interned with T.I.I Design Consultants in the summer of 2007. My duties for T.I.I included  interior design for a private residence in New York as well as administrative work. T.I.I then offered me a part time job as an assistant designer. I have had the chance to assist with facade design and space planning with Junger Architects, where I worked as a freelance draftsman. I currently work as a part time designer with Maxine Shriber Design, where my duties range from design assistance, site visits, drafting and coordinating meetings with clients. Maxine Shriber is also launching an online design service called Simply Decorate. I am helping her with launching this startup firm. These experiences have added a sense of diversity and versatility to my career.

During my academic years, I developed a strong methodology in research and concept development, along with other skills such as model making, sketching and rendering. I was the recipient of the Portfolio Excellence Award, chosen from my graduating year. My project was selected to be presented to well respected professionals such as - Robert Ivy, Editor in chief of Architectural Record; William Mitchell, author of “City of Bits” and Donald Mac Donald, author of “ Architect of Bridges”.

My passion for the built environment and design is my biggest driving force. I am a self motivated hard worker with a friendly yet professional attitude. I believe this makes me a perfect candidate at your firm. I know that if I was hired, there are few people who would work as tirelessly as I to ensure the reputation of the firm. Also, I look forward to advancing my own skill set through getting LEED accredited and to contribute to the firm in ways that go beyond those required.
