Mamaroneck, NY, US

I am a graduate of the Art Institute of NYC in Interior Design.  I am currently enrolled in the BFA program in ID at The School of Visual Arts in NYC for the Spring 2012 semester.  I have over 17 years experience in the residential and commercial carpentry fields.  I have worked as a project manager for a high end carpenter as well as an interior designer.

While attending the Art Institute of NYC I excelled in the skills of Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, and Google Sketchup using the podium plugin.  My work was regularly chosen for gallery events and displayed in the schools department showcases.  I was a tutor for classes such as rendering, space planning, Interior design process, Photoshop, and Sketchup. Please see link below for work samples.

As designers we must know how to plan a space and how to present that plan visually so that it can be communicated to the client. We must also know about the materials and products that will be used to create and furnish the space, and how texture, color, lighting and other factors combine and interact to make a space. In addition, interior designers must understand the structural requirements of their plans, the health and safety issues, building codes, and many other technical aspects.  This is what makes a designer stand out above the rest.
