About

I am interested in an entry level position or internship and I believe that I could be a valuable asset to your firm.  I recently graduated with a Master’s of Architecture and I am willing to relocate.  Several different classes in school required the preparation and review of construction documents including plans, sections, elevations, wall sections, and construction details.  These include projects of my own design as well as preparing drawings from schematics.  I also have extensive experience with 3D modeling and rendering, the Adobe suite, as well as detailing static and operable parts.  I am currently enrolled in IDP and I hope to be able to gain experience with your firm.  The enclosed resume highlights my experiences and skills; a full portfolio of my work and references are available upon request.  Please contact me via e-mail at [email protected] or cell phone at 330-573-9037.  I would be grateful for an interview to discuss the ways that I can help your firm.  I look forward to hearing from you soon.  Thank you for your consideration.

Education

Kent State University, MArch, Architecture and Environmental Design

In graduate school I focused on the design, creation, and implementation of digital models using a variety of different software, including Revit, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros, Grasshopper, and the Adobe Suite. These digital models were used for the creation of construction drawings as well as renderings, presentation graphics, and physical models. The were created using fabrication techniques such as laser cutting, CNC routing, and 3D printing. Also, I participated in two constructed installations, one in Cleveland and one at Kent State University.

Kent State University, BArch, Architecture and Environmental Design

In the first two years of undergraduate study, I focused on hand drawing documents which include plans, sections, axonometrics, diagrams, and renderings. In my third year of school I studied in Florence, Italy for a semester, gaining knowledge and experience travelling and seeing many different types of architecture. In the fourth year of my undergraduate degree I developed my skills in Revit model construction as well as participated in the Integrated Design Competition (IDC) at Kent State University, an annual competition in the design of a fully integrated office building. In this project, my partner and I were given the honors of being among the ten finalists.
