Guernsey Architectural Solutions, Inc. specializes in the design, fabrication and installation of Aluminum Composite wall systems. General position responsibilities included developing and completing sets of shop drawings, administering and documenting the submittal process and performing quantity take-offs used to aid the fabrication department. I was responsible for visualizing the three-dimensionality of buildings and drafting in AutoCAD from printed plans and working with Contractors and Architects in order to create Aluminum Composite wall systems.
I gained practical experience in envelope design and construction, while accruing IDP credits under Work Setting E.

Worked on projects of higher education, recreation centers and museums. Took on various responsibilities as the Project Manager, Project Designer, Graphic Designer, Interior Designer, and Revit/CAD Draftsmen. Phases of design and role within each project involved a combination of Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Documents and Construction Administration.
Along with phases of design, I was involved in several marketing proposals and research for higher education projects. Took on the responsibility for obtaining research, data and making graphics. Some of the research and data involved making site visits, observing and interacting with people, mapping exercises and obtaining interviews.

It was a part-time job while I was attending classes at the University of Florida. I left the job to continue and complete the courses at University of Florida for graduation.
