Employment 

Knoll, New York, NY, US, Senior Designer / Project Manager

Created branded environments that showcase Knoll’s innovative design philosophy in a fast-paced, deadline-driven design department, working directly with the Executive Vice President and the Director of Design.
Created designs for multiple projects simultaneously, from showrooms/offices (up to 50,000 sq.ft.) to specialty retail spaces and trade shows; communicating design intent and coordinating on-time delivery with Knoll factory, architects of record, contractors, engineers, lighting designers, graphics installers, fabricators and vendors.
Responsible for design (furniture layouts, specifications and finishes; graphics; lighting; etc.) and coordination of semi-monthly floorset changes in the Knoll Design Retail Shop. Communicated with Knoll factory, furniture installers, graphics and electrical vendors to meet installation dead-lines and budget targets.
Assisted Director of Design with budget creation and tracking from project allocation through final reconcilliation.
Provided onsite installation and aesthetic guidance during the completion of all projects.
Helped lead a dynamic team of designers and interns to research special exhibits; create internal design standards; construct scaled site models; and maintain files, samples library and drawing sets.
Worked with LEED consultants to achieve LEED certification on all showroom renovations.

Worked directly with architect/owner of multi-faceted 2-person architecture firm on projects ranging from apartment combinations and kitchen/bathroom renovations to commercial, educational and hospitality.
Managed all aspects of numerous projects simultaneously: presenting design options, completing drawings, managing client relationships, negotiating contractor bids, finalizing FF&E selections, generating and tracking budgets, overseeing onsite construction meetings, creating minutes, and completing punch list and project sign-off.
Generated drawings for filing with New York Department of Buildings and Landmark’s Preservation Commission.
Created and implemented an office-wide tracking system for Active and Potential projects, still in use today.

Assisted in design of new product roll-outs: displays, graphics and placement in all North American showrooms.
Participated in the renovation of Knoll Chicago's showroom for the NeoCon 2008 and 2009 trade shows.
Translated corporate identity into distinctly "Knoll" spaces and displays.
Achieved LEED certification on all new showroom projects (6 Gold and 1 Platinum).
