Through an analysis of various canonical works of architecture and parallel developments in mass media, my graduate thesis, Architecture in Medias Rez, traces the history of architectural glass as a communicative medium to ultimately suggest a new reading of glass surfaces in the built environment as human perception is reconfigured by the emergence of digital media.
