About 

As a designer, I have always been one to focus on the direct interaction between people and architecture and to consciously try and make a connection between the space being designed and the people who will occupy the space.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

As Director at DDIR, my responsibilities included client meetings and management, office management and accounts, preparation of contract documents, and supervision of design teams.

• Worked on residential as well as commercial projects which included design development, presentation drawings, working drawings and interior detailing.

• Preparation of technical drawings including electrical drawings, flooring pattern, plumbing and sanitary drawings for residential and commercial projects.

• Interior work included design and detailing of kitchen layouts, room layouts, optional designs and material palates as well as furniture design.

• Design and detail drawings of staircases, doors, windows, railings etc.

• 3D Modeling as well as physical models.

• Prepared detailed, sanction & contract drawings and documents for residential & commercial projects.

• Site Visits involving supervision, surveys, measurements and cross-checking on-site progress.

• Interaction & co-ordination with structural consultants, vendors and miscellaneous suppliers.

• Proposal presentations including site analysis for commercial projects.

• Client meeting presentations and all project level discussions & participation.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCad, Adobe Photoshop, Google SketchUp, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Premiere Pro and other Media Editing software.

Basic knowledge of 3ds Max and Autodesk Revit.

Adept in drafting, free-hand sketching and rendering.

Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Excel.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Received “Design Award” for Semester 8 at the Annual Exhibition 2008, R.V. School ofArchitecture, Bangalore, India. (Given annually to the top 5% of students. I was one ofonly 4 students, out of a total of 80 students, who received this award.)

Organizing an Exhibition at INCITE gallery in Bangalore, for all Indian participants of the Guggenheim Helsinki competition. Contacting, co-ordination, and complete curation of works, including setting up of exhibition and conducting the event.

Architecture Paradigm, Architectural Intern

This internship was part of the curriculum in the third year of my Bachelors degree. The work description is as follows,
