Bloom Interior Architecture, Paid Intern
The summer before my graduating year, I secured a paid internship with Bloom Interior Architecture in Miami, FL. My leadership responsibilities were similar to those of a design captain and project manager, as I directed all aspects of schematic designs and actively communicated with clients. My architectural contributions included creative conceptual design, 3D modeling and rendering, graphic presentations and technical drafting of construction documents. I assumed the role of lead designer on a commission for the Miami International Airport. Conducting the project from initial design concepts, through final construction documentation to the completed fabrication gave me invaluable experience in applying my design talents and technical skills in all phases of the architectural process. Due to the high quality of my work, I was retained as a part-time intern for an entire semester upon my return to school, which required that I produce without direct supervision and maintain clear communication with colleagues and clients.
