My name is Brian Yamagata. I am an Architectural Designer and Visualizer.
A little about myself:
I was born and raised in Citrus Heights, CA which prior to its establishment of a city in 1997, was a suburban town of Sacramento.
I received my Bachelors of Arts in Art History from Oregon State University, and my Masters of Architecture from the University of Michigan's Taubman College of Architecture and Urban Planning in 2010.
My enthusiasm for all things architecture and technology is due to my passion for both the built environment as well as my upbringing as a gamer and technophile. From Legos and Transformers to buildings and mobile devices, I have always had a connection with the way things are built and the manner in which we interact with objects.
My experience as an architectural designer has thus far been capitalized by the fact that the possibilities are endless. Though at times things tend to be mundane (as many professionals will contest), the mere fact that I am able to surround myself with such amazing talents and inspirations keeps me motivated and looking ahead. I find myself in awe over something or someone new almost daily, and to this I attribute my fanaticism for architecture and technology. This field is definitely at a high point right now, despite the economic hardships we face. So many architects, designers, engineers, developers and the like are trying new things; taking risks, and in turn rewarding us, the inhabitants, with the most relevant and intellectual artifacts of our time.
