I'm a designer who is intrigued by the connections between the various scales of design – architecture, transportation, furniture, print, and the systems that govern them all. Born in Bangalore, India he received a Bachelor’s of Architecture from the School of Architecture, R.V.C.E., Bangalore, and went on to work in a number of areas of architecture ranging from commercial spaces, private residences, institutions, religious spaces, landscaping and interior architecture. Sushir has recently graduated from the masters program of Industrial Design at Pratt Institute, Brooklyn.

West Elm, Freelance Designer
West Elm is a subsidiary of Williams-Sonoma Inc. and has been developing well designed, simple and affordable products with sustainability in mind since 2003, with 37 stores in 18 states as well as outlets in Canada and Puerto Rico. I was part of a 7 member team developing indoor furniture and household accessories for their Fall 2012 line.
Pratt Institute, Lab Manager
The Rapid Prototyping lab consists of a Universal X-660 Laser cutter, Dimension BST-1200 3D printer, Roland MDX-540 CNC machine and blade cutters serving, mainly but not limited, to the Industrial design and Interior design departments. With a staff of 15 my responsibilities revolve around the overall functionality, coordination, organization, administration and maintenance of the lab and its machines.
Object Inc, Industrial Designer
A multidisciplinary office dealing with exhibit design, interior architecture, graphic design, branding, product design and furniture design. As their only industrial design intern at the time I worked on all projects dealing with furniture, displays and product ideas. Also, with an architectural background I was also involved in most exhibit and interior architecture projects.
Architecture Paradigm, Architect
As an architect at the well established firm with over a 100 completed projects since 1992 my responsibilities included; design conceptualization, client meetings and presentation, design development, developing construction documentation, site coordination, site supervision, etc. Having had the opportunity to work on over 12 projects, including a few competitions, during my time there I had the fortune of seeing 4 projects through from inception to completion and client hand over.
