About 

Anthony Deen is a creative director, architect, design strategist and educator with over 25 years experience in designing and building smart, sustainable environments and experiences. Anthony's work is included in the Smithsonian’s National Design Museum and his projects have won the Cannes Gold Lion, International Design Award, Spark Design Award, AIA Project Award and multiple SEGD and GOOD Design awards.

Anthony's background is with notable firms, Rockwell Group and Landor, working on a variety of project types from corporate offices to public parks to transportation facilities. Anthony has specific expertise in complex, high foot traffic, urban sites. Notable projects include the interior for jetBlue’s terminal 5 at JFK airport, the master plan for Chelsea Market's Phase II, a recycling system for New York's Central Park, and the recently completed way-finding system for the WTC/Westfield/PATH district at the World Trade Center.

Anthony is a co-founder of the MFADT in Design + Technology program at Parsons School of Design, where he has taught for over 20 years. He also one of the founding members of The Lab at Rockwell Group; co-founded Gowanus By Design, working on the rezoning of that Brooklyn neighborhood, and served as a member of the EPA’s Gowanus Community Advisory Group.

Design and project management for large scale projects including the relaunch of the FAO Schwarz flagship stores in New York and Las Vegas, interior architecture for JetBlue's new Terminal 5 at JFK Airport, and design for the W Hotel and Resort, Huntington Beach, CA. Also helped create and launch Rockwell's interactive media technology studio, The Lab at Rockwell Group.

Vice President and Creative Director for the Virgin Megastores in North America responsible for all aspects of Store Design. Business driven projects ranged in scale from interactive kiosks, signage, fixtures to store planning, design and construction. Led design for Union Square NY, Columbus OH, Dallas TX and Boston MA stores as well as renovations of Los Angeles and San Francisco stores.
