About

Hello my name is Alberto Rodriguez,  I am a graduate student of University of South Florida, with my Masters degree in Architecture in 2010, and a Masters in Urban Design (July 2011). As a student, I have become highly proficient in computers program as well as physical model making. The idea of meeting these project deadlines with time to check my work became the foundation of my time management. Furthermore, being an Architecture and Urban Design graduate I can focus on varies project scales. I am highly intrigued designs which blends both Architecture and Urban Design principals and attempts to create the idea of "place". These inspiration led to my thesis project "The Third Realm: Suburban identity through the transformation of the main street" where I explore Hispanic barrios and tropical design, being that the site is in the tropics, as reference for the suburb and the problem of sprawling neighborhoods. These explorations lead me to the idea of taking the social aspects as a catalyst for enhancing an ordinary neighborhood spaces rather than the just physical aspects of neighborhoods.
