Senior Technical Architect for the Conversion, Alteration, Rehabilitation and Restoration of 140 West Street, a major Landmark Building in Lower Manhattan
Senior Architect full time on site during the 6 Month Major Demolition and Rough Construction phase for this 1 MIL square foot building
• Inspecting, sketching, detailing and coordinating issues for all construction trades. There were many unforeseen conditions and the premise was to solve problems and set up rough construction to preserve on coming original design intent.
• On floors 11-31M there were many changes and alterations including to the core and vertical circulation of the building.
• The ground level, the original lobby and new residential lobby and roof terrace levels required much detailing to satisfy Landmark Requirements.
• Upon completion of the original 6 month contract I left the site office and continued design development details for Landmark and apartment issues from the firms main office for an additional 2 months.
• Assisted as Senior Construction Consultant for Custom Design & Construction Details for the Construction of 520 West 28th Street, a Very Modern New Building on Manhattan’s High Line.

EXTERIOR/NEW CONSTRUCTION:
2007-08
Studio V Architecture/New York, NY
Project Manager for a New, Modern Highly Designed Residential Building that was built in Long Island City, NY in 2008-09.
• In this small studio of mainly interior architecture I was in charge of the entire core, shell, façade and fenestration of this building including design-development, contract drawings, custom details, consultant & vendor coordination.

2006-07
MG New York Architects/New York, NY
Project Manager for a New Residential High Rise Condo Building in Queens, NY.
Working directly with the principal, Michael Gadaleta, my involvement on this project included Schematic Design, Programming, Construction Budgeting and Planning for Zoning and Filing Drawings during the Design Phase which included 4 Levels of underground parking and a Health Care and Community Center on the ground floor. I worked with Michael again in 2012 on a project including 3 floors of interior renovations for a photo lab studio on Varick St., Manhattan.

INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE: 2009
Levithan-Orsini Interior Design/New York, NY
Architectural Support for Interior Design Firm for the interiors of a new construction private residence town house in Beverly Hills, CA and on an alteration/renovation of a 3000SF apartment on Park Avenue, Manhattan, NY.On both projects I worked directly with the Principal Michael Orsini in developing Custom Design and Construction Details for Cabinetry, Millwork, Flooring, Finishes and Lighting. The Park Avenue project involved extensive stone and marble detailing including exotic grained marble.
2008
Stephen Katz Architects/New York, NY
Project Manager - Interior Alteration-Renovation Project at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville, NY
Worked directly with the principal Stephen Katz on this project which included new lobbies, cafeteria and medical areas. My involvement included Schematic Design, Programming, Drawing & Consultant Coordination, Vendor & Material Sourcing & Coordination and Construction Drawings & Details.

RESTAURANT-HOSPITALITY:
2006
Berg & Forster Architects/New York, NY
Project Manager for the Alteration and Renovation of Tiro A. Segno Club in Soho, NY.
Worked independently on this project that involved a new commercial kitchen and dining room, second elevator alterations and renovations of five floors, including a new sports facility. The facility building, which is over 200 years old was originally three separate, five story wood framed structures that were combined over the years into one assembly space. Working with the club president and the clubs world class chef, who is originally from Sardenia, Italy and has worked as chef all over the world, we rotated the existing kitchen and dining room 90 degrees to achieve better circulation for the kitchen and staff and added a second elevator through these three formally separate and very ad hoc structures.
Completed all of the design and construction drawings, engineering coordination, owner and construction meetings and vendor coordination including some detailed kitchen equipment. Previously worked with Principal Mark Forster on a music lab project and offices on Varick Street, Manhattan

My role in this project was primarily design-development, construction drawings and details and coordination with engineering including the Fiji Island structural engineer.

Project Manager for Single Family-New Construction and Addition, Alteration & Remodeling Projects.
Worked in partnership with a Landscape Architect on Private Residence Projects. The premise of these projects was to mirror the house and grounds of the project and to integrate the interior and exterior of the house with its site.

Project Manager for an Art Gallery Project on Manhattans West Side.
This project involved the vertical enlargement of an existing two story building to five stories and total conversion, alteration of the building into an art gallery with the architectural premise having a focus on use of materials. In addition to being in charge of custom design and construction details, I was solely in charge of conceptual cost planning, elemental budgeting and master formatting with the owner including bid documents, specifications and coordination and contractor and vendor contract negotiation and procurement.
