About

I am a Pratt Institute graduate, with a Master's degree in Interior/Exhibition Design.

As a student at Pratt I underwent a rigorous design program that has equipped me with competitive design skills as well as a unique approach that focuses on story telling to create a strong concept from which to base design decisions.

Prior to attending Pratt I completed a Fine Woodworking Furniture Apprenticeship. The completion of the program led to employment with the Chicago Bauhaus Studios as a furniture maker and designer. As it was a small company, I had the opportunity to experience many facets of the furniture industry, from project management, client vendor relations, to furniture construction and installation, and trade show participation.

My passion lies in furniture design, however, ultimately my goal is to become a designer. I believe that
design is multidisciplinary and that it is essential to collaborate across disciplines in order to be innovative in design. I am confident that my interdisciplinary training, and my comprehensive background in furniture is a valuable asset, especially In an economy where wearing many hats has become a necessity.
