About

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to submit my resume for an interview. I appreciate your assistance in this regard. I have looked at the firm’s website and I am very interested in the work your office produces.

I completed my studies in the Savannah College of Art and Design’s five year Master of Architecture program in May 2009.  I am a hardworking and devoted person when it comes to this work I enjoy very much. I have worked in the industry for 5 years now and my favorite part has always been my client’s satisfaction. I am most proficient in Revit construction documents but I am also capable of working in AutoCAD. Space planning has been the most rewarding part of most of my projects and the day to day problem solving helps me learn how to improve on every project.

I am a high energy person who loves being part of a team where I can lift up others and also be lifted up. When I join a new company I fully immerse myself in the culture and become an advocate for that company’s brand. I played softball on scholarship at SCAD my first two years but decided I needed more time to devote to my education. I think my involvement in sports has taught me how to work on a team and how to manage my time.

Thank you,

Chelsea Reimer

My design philosophy centers on developing an intimate knowledge of exactly what the owner wants and what the space will be used for.  It is also paramount that we document their current physical activities, operations and determine any financial limitations they may have.  I feel that visiting other sites and exploring multiple alternatives will help an owner fully develop their thoughts and plans for their building.  I think that space planning is one of the most important design elements as it will provide for optimal traffic flow and work/living space utilization.  With additional thought given to space planning I believe an architect can deliver the most efficient, well designed space for the owner’s dollar.

The same care and understanding would apply to the structural and mechanical needs of the building.  Again, understanding their needs determines the best type of structural system. In today’s world of environmentally responsible design, the choice of mechanical systems along with orientation is very important. Material choices inside and outside also require an environmental approach that will benefit the user and builder.
