Gemma Ramon Centelles is an architect and a Master of Science student at the College of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT) in Chicago. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture (2022) and a Master of Architecture (2023) from the Escola Tècnica Superior d'Arquitectura del Vallès at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. In 2019, Gemma joined the Rural Studio at Auburn University in Alabama, where she gained valuable practical experience. Her work has been recognized with the Europan 17 runner-up award for her project "Sa Muralla" and the Fulbright Scholarship, which supports her ongoing research in Chicago on integrating environmental considerations into design-to-construction processes—a core focus of her career.
