Originally from Colombia, I completed a five-year bachelor's degree in architecture from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in 2022. Later that year, I embarked on my journey through graduate school in the United States and concluded my studies in 2024.

During my time at the University of Hartford, I delved into a wide range of building types, from residential to cultural, religious, and educational. My studies also encompassed sustainable design, urban planning, and architectural ornament. The culmination of my academic process was my thesis, 'The Building as a Vehicle for Social Interaction,' which focused on an affordable housing project. This project honed my research and design skills and deepened my commitment to fostering community through architecture.

My academic achievements have equipped me with a solid foundation in architectural principles and a keen eye for detail, which I am eager to apply professionally. I have actively pursued opportunities to grow professionally and personally. I was awarded first place in the Building Beauty "HOME" international competition for the design of a 650-square-foot house in Fire Island, NY. Additionally, my internship with architect Duo Dickinson in Madison, CT, during the summer of 2023 gave me valuable insights into the importance of hard work, rigor, reliability, teamwork, and effective communication, all vital skills in the architecture field.
