I am an architect and I have a graduate degree in Sustainability in Civil Construction. In the beginning, I worked designing houses then I had an opportunity to work as a project analyst in City Hall. When I became a LEED Green Associate, I started to look for an opportunity to work with sustainable designs and I got a job as an analyst in one of the most important green construction consultancy companies in Brazil. I worked with a consultant to help the designer find better solutions to improve the sustainability and efficiency of their facilities in big residential and commercial projects. I analyzed projects that sought to achieve LEED certification, HQE Certification, and EDGE Certification. EDGE Certification focuses on energy efficiency, water efficiency, indoor environmental quality, and materials and resources, it is a good tool to measure and see what in the project can be improved. We always analyzed the weatherization of the buildings and the solutions to make the indoor environment better and reduce energy costs.
