My name is Aleksandra Tesanovic, I was born in Sarajevo during the Yugoslavian war, and got to witness first hand the devastation brought by war, and the peace that comes after it. As a child, and growing up I have always seen this process as an architectural one, I have watched a city in ruins evolve into a paradise. I remember events in the form of the architecture surrounding me as a vehicle to store and keep memories. Growing up, I have always dreamed of building, rebuilding, and preserving architecture and the context it holds within our
society.

I am grateful to have had the opportunity to be live in Phoenix, and study at ASU to obtain my Masters degree in architecture. Within the years of my education I have gotten to do meaningful work, from designing for Orchard Africa to working at PHX Architecture, and volunteering for programs such as Habitat for Humanity and Kids Build, as well as designing for the non-profit organization 28 Jun. Most recently I
worked remotely for ORB Architecture, this opportunity has allowed me to become proficient and efficient when it comes to working remotely. What makes me different from other candidates is my multi-versed experience in residential, commercial, hospitality, and multi-family projects.

The process I have gone through has taught me how to not only design
digitally, but also design with my heart and my hands. I am ambitious and seeking for the opportunity to grow, learn, and advance. The design process, and a job involving creativity and a passionate team excites me.
