Employment

Swift Lee Office, Los Angeles, CA, US, Project Designer

As a project designer working in a small, close-knit firm environment, I:

• Coordinated with the principal architects, team members, and consultants to manage and organize construction drawing sets for multiple ongoing residential, educational, public works, and institutional projects at all phases of design using AutoCAD, Revit, and Bluebeam.
• Carried out construction administration tasks (RFIs, submittals, ASKs)
for multiple projects during construction phases, while keeping consistent
communication with contractors, consultants, and administrative agencies.
• Developed precedent research, site analysis, and presentation boards for
project clients and RFQs using a combination of Adobe Suite software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Created massing models, site models, and 3D renderings throughout
different phases of design using Rhino 3D/Enscape/V-Ray.
• Facilitated experimentation with AI image software (Midjourney, DALL-E) in
order to develop new, generative toolsets as part of the firm’s design process.
• Participated in preliminary design and construction site visits to take measurements, verify construction directives, and review submitted samples from contractors for 3 projects at varying stages of design.

Jacobs Engineering Group, Irvine, CA, US, Sustainability / Architecture Intern

As an intern on a small, sustainability-focused team of architects and designers within a large, international engineering firm, I:

• Assisted on managing LEED documentation for multiple ongoing industrial,
public works, and institutional projects at all phases of design.
• Analyzed LEED design criteria for 5 different projects in the form of
construction drawings and documentation in AutoCAD, Revit, and written
specification documents.
• Documented design criteria for LEED credit requirements using specialized
spreadsheets and documents in Microsoft Office Suite, which led to the
development of more effective digital organization skills.
• Coordinated and communicated with clients as needed to order to facilitate
desired LEED design goals and to keep a constant track of design progress for
required LEED credits.
• Gained a thorough understanding of the LEED rating system (NC; BD+C)
as part of a continuing self-education of sustainable design practices and
methods.

Education

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, Pomona, CA, US, BArch, Architecture

My B. Arch studies consisted of a variety of studio project types focused around creating small to large scale residential, mixed-use, institutional, public works, spiritual, and educational spaces. My capstone project was a blend of my experiences abroad and at home, focusing on theorizing a better typology to jump-start urbanism and bolster local communities in a city that is increasingly sprawling and gentrifying.

Aug 2018 - May 2023

Denmark Institute of Study Abroad, Copenhagen, DK, Architecture

As part of my 4th year of B. Arch studies, I lived and studied at DIS in Copenhagen. I travelled around Europe frequently, taking in the buildings and urbanism of some of the healthiest, walkable, and people-oriented cities I've ever encountered.

My architectural topic studios focused on creating buildings that seek to work with and meld with the urban fabric of a historical city that is at the forefront of sustainability. My classes focused on architectural & design topics ranging from adaptive reuse, sustainable building practices, urban sketch-booking, and hands-on chair design.
