I am currently working as a graduate assistant, serving the dual roles of a teaching assistant and a research assistant. Specifically, my research work entails working in the Energy Efficiency Lab and the Community Design Lab. Additionally, I am part of the Baltimore Social-Environmental Collaborative Lab. My current research is focused on urban energy studies. As a teaching assistant, I am responsible for several tasks, including teaching, grading assignments, participating in reviews, and assisting students. Currently, I am assigned to help with the First-Year Design Studio. In the previous year, I assisted with building science courses offered at the university.
Pelli Clarke & Partners, New York, NY, US, Intern Architect
I was involved in the Miramar Hotel Project, where my primary responsibilities included collaborating with vendors to procure and select materials for the project. This also involved presenting proposals to the city and clients for approval. Additionally, I was responsible for preparing presentations for the revitalization of the historic building within the project.
Serie Architects, Mumbai, India, Mumbai, IN, Architect
While at Serie Architects, I worked at the Shrimad Rajchandra Ashram in Dharampur, India, a spiritual habitat for the Jain community. This complex comprised several buildings, including the Satsang Hall (an auditorium with ancillary functions), the Welcome Center (a reception center), and the Entrance Gate. I led the Entrance Gate's design process, symbolizing the sanctuary's spiritual threshold. I coordinated closely with consultants and vendors to integrate design elements seamlessly. Additionally, I contributed to the design development, ensuring details enhanced the architectural character. Overseeing the production of 'good for construction' drawings, I ensured precision in execution. Engaged in conceptualization and schematic design, I envisioned the layout and functionality of ancillary spaces within the Satsang Hall, enriching the visitor experience. Leveraging visualization skills, I prepared presentations to communicate the design vision. In a supervisory capacity, I provided guidance and mentorship to a team of two, fostering collaboration and ensuring project milestones were met excellently.
