About

I have a B.A. in Architecture and am graduating this May with my M.Arch from Parsons School of Design. In addition to the architecture curriculum, my studies have included classes that cover topics such as furniture design, sustainable architectural materials, construction documents, NYC Code, and even business consulting. Throughout my graduate studies, I have been especially interested in focusing on how interior design, architecture, and design objects connect spatially.

During my time in graduate school I have found my passion through working on my residential and hospitality design thesis, where I am designing the interior of a townhouse in the Upper East Side. My thesis has given me experience sourcing swatches, researching FF&E, and creating material boards. I have extensive experience with many different programs such as Revit, Rhino, AutoCad, and more. With how quickly technology advances, I feel my true asset is my ability to pick up software very quickly.

Employment

ThenDesign Architecture, Willoughby, OH, US, Architectural Design Intern

I have had three internships in the educational and hospitality design field, where I worked on teams with interior designers and architects. These internships took place during my summer and winter breaks between semesters. During my first two internships, I focused on creating construction documents and preparing client presentations. By my third internship experience, I was on a design team creating proposals for the design and development of an entire college campus.
During this time, I was working on anything from researching seating options for the university library to designing the facade of a building on the other side of campus.

Education

Parsons School of Design, New York, NY, US, MArch, Architecture

Throughout my graduate studies I have taken many elective courses to diversify my skill set. Through these classes, I found that my true passion lies in the design of multiple scales. Because of this, I have tailored my thesis to truly explore design at all scales. My thesis is a gut renovation of a town house, where I am designing everything from the grand staircase to the cutlery on the dining room table.

I will be graduating with my M.Arch this May 2024.

Miami University, Oxford, OH, US, Bachelors, Architecture

During my time in Undergrad, I focused my studies on sustainable architecture- becoming familiar with Passive House standards and LEED Accreditation. I also took advantage of my university's award winning business school by earning a minor in Entrepreneurship. My minor has given me experience in business consulting and client interface.
