I am a passionate and dedicated designer with a graduate degree in Architecture. I have gained valuable experience in architectural design, drafting, and project management through my professional roles and internships. I am a well-rounded creative with skills in AutoCAD, Revit, hand drawing, painting, and the Adobe Creative Suite, as well as photography and architectural photography.
de la Guardia Victoria Architects and Urbanists, Miami, FL, US, Architectural Designer
As an Entry Level Architectural Designer, I quickly adapted to the DLGV drawing style and learned standard dimensions. I set up folders for new projects and project phases, and began drafting in AutoCAD from scratch, interpreting sketches on a 2x2 grid, or drawings from a drafting service. As projects progressed, I received and corrected redlines and made sure that each correction was repeated in all corresponding drawings. I reviewed past construction sets to make sure all drawings were included. I was introduced to MEP drawings and schedules and practiced comparing them to the Architectural drawings. In a townhome project’s pre-schematic phase, I created a site plan referencing an existing survey, applied elements of the Coral Gables MF4 zoning code, and calculated square footages and FAR. I was also given smaller tasks such as responding to RFIs and reaching out to suppliers to ask about products.
Meyer and Meyer Architects, Boston, MA, US, Intern
While interning at Meyer & Meyer Architects, I continued to learn advanced Revit skills and worked closely with multiple project managers. I assisted with schematic design floor plan schemes for a head of school house, and encountered challenges of wetland zoning codes. I created a site topographic map, individual site plans for each scheme, and area calculations. I independently worked on a mail package shed for a project in progress. I visited the site and took measurements of existing conditions and assembled it in Revit based on a proposal sketch. Other tasks I completed were setting up construction document sheets for various projects, putting together wall panel details, and modeling room components and existing conditions.
