I'm Radhika Kavaloor, an architect with a profound interest in building and construction, a passion that's been influenced significantly by my family background. I'm currently pursuing a master's in construction management at New York University, where I'm deeply engaged in an advanced BIM course. My studies also cover crucial aspects of construction like cost estimation, scheduling, and construction accounting and finance.
My journey in architecture and sustainability began with my bachelor's in architecture, a period that marked the beginning of my enduring love for design and sustainable practices. It was also during this time that I developed a keen interest in Building Information Modeling (BIM), initiating my journey with Revit.
Professionally, I'm contributing as a Project Assistant in Facilities Management at New York University. Here, I'm actively involved with the BIM team in managing various projects. Previously, I worked at MudHands Architects, where I was part of the team handling extensive residential projects spanning around 36 acres. Before this, I gained experience at Vision Developers, working on a school project.
My aim now is to further my career in the BIM field, exploring a broader spectrum of BIM tools and joining a dynamic team where I can both share and enhance my skills in this domain.

Prestige Jindal City Project:
1. Delivered advanced BIM-driven construction drawings ahead of schedule for this 32-acre, 3571-unit residential project.
2. Tailored execution to meet client needs, enhancing satisfaction and alignment.
3. Created impactful 3D visuals using Lumion, Vray, and Revit, improving project comprehension.
4. Coordinated site logistics, materials, scheduling, and labor; managed 50-60 client meetings and documented construction analysis from
inception to completion.
5. Used BIM 360, Trello, and Navisworks for project coordination and clash detection, ensuring seamless structural and architectural
integration.
Vision Developors, Koppal, IN, Project Assistant
1. Utilized Revit and AutoCAD to design a comprehensive school concept on a 10-acre site with a 500 million budget, encompassing all phases from conceptualization to final working drawings.
2. Actively managed daily operations on-site, ensuring project adherence to timelines and budget, and contributed to the successful execution of the project.
New York University (NYU), Brooklyn, NY, US, Masters, Construction Management
I am currently pursuing a Master's in Construction Management, with a focus on Building Information Modeling (BIM) alongside Project Management, Cost Estimation, Scheduling, Construction Accounting and Finance, and Facility Management. My academic journey has provided me with an in-depth understanding of BIM, allowing me to explore a wide range of software and their applications in the field. This exploration was further deepened by the opportunity to conduct academic research on BIM/Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technology, as well as hands-on experience with BIM on a real project.
Throughout my studies, I gained comprehensive insights into various BIM-related tools, including Revit, Navisworks, Reality Capture, BIM 360, Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), and Dynamo, all of which I applied in a practical context. My practical experience extended to performing cost estimation for a project based on drawings from AECOM, as well as scheduling for a large commercial building. Furthermore, I had the opportunity to design a factory for a powdered detergent plant, taking the project from conceptualization to the creation of working drawings.
In addition to my major focus, I also pursued a minor in management, which complemented my technical skills with managerial acumen. My commitment to continuous learning and staying updated on new developments in the construction field, especially in BIM, has been a constant throughout my academic and professional journey.
