About

I am a B.Arch student at Cal Poly Pomona focusing on sustainable design. I’m particularly interested in building performance evaluations and passive design strategies along with embodied and operational carbon.

I have experience in Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Sweet, Cove.tool and Ladybug Tools (grasshopper sustainability analysis), and OpenStudio (revit energy analysis plug in).

My passion for sustainable design can be seen throughout all my projects. For example, my Urban Community project utilizes a north/south orientation to allow for passive design strategies such as night flushing and internal heat gain. The walkways and overhangs are positioned so that the winter sunlight hits the exposed stone pavers. These pavers are locally sourced and add a nice texture to the interior dining area. The internal heat gain and night flushing cover both the winter and summer months to make the units less dependent on mechanical systems. The cladding on the walls facing the courtyard is made with re-used studs from the torn-down previous building which helps incorporate adaptive reuse and lowers the embodied carbon while making a more personalized space.
