About

I have acquired experience in many aspects of architectural practice, including project management, architectural design, planning, construction specifications and construction administration from over 12 years of practice in San Francisco.

In 2018 I received a Master of Advanced Architectural Design degree from the California College of the Arts. My focus of study was on Digital Craft where I learned advanced skills of computational and parametric design as applied to architecture and architectural technologies. I was determined to keep my skills relevant with this new form of technology and its application in the architectural field.

In 2019 I was awarded a signature project for the Burning Man Organization, the Temple of Direction. This rewarding project included my most personal design ideas, as tempered by the extreme challenges of building in a desert with a volunteer work force and a severe deadline. The project received wide range of publication and was considered a success and well received.

My experience includes Type I commercial high rise, mid-rise commercial and residential, institutional and educational, and Type V multifamily of both luxury and affordable housing types. Additionally, my experience includes tenant improvements and design work with historical buildings.

I have become very familiar with the various municipal offices involved in the building industry in San Francisco and the Bay Area in general. I have worked extensively with the Planning Department, the Department of Building Inspections, Historical Preservation and the Department of Public Works. Additionally, I have experience with the Department of State Architects which oversees educational projects in California and with the Department of Public Health. I have become educated in several building and planning codes from different agencies and departments.

Best wishes,
