As a recent MArch graduate from Rice University, I have developed a strong interest and expertise in design, both in architecture and video game digital animation. I aspire to create innovative and sustainable solutions that enhance the built environment and the user experience.
During my graduate studies, I gained valuable hands-on experience as a Construction Engineer and Portfolio Asset Management Intern at the DC Housing Finance Agency. I assisted with reviewing and monitoring construction projects, conducting site visits, and preparing reports. I also worked as an Architecture Model Fabricator at MetaLab, LLC, and as an Architectural Intern at STOA Architects - Houston, where I honed my skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Adobe Creative Suite, communication, and presentation. I am passionate about learning new technologies and techniques, such as smart building technology, historic preservation, and digital fabrication.
DC Housing Finance Agency, Washington, DC, US, Construction Engineer and Portfolio Asset Management Intern
While at DCHFA, I gained a lot of exposure to multifamily projects and their construction. I visited project sites and ensured the buildings complied with the D.C. Fair Housing Act and UFAS codes. I attended requisition meetings and inspected the ongoing construction of the agency's projects. I visited projects within DCHFA's portfolio and ensured the properties were in good condition. Finally,
I completed an accessibility course and received a Washington D.C. accessibility requirements for multifamily projects certificate at DCHFA.
METALAB, Houston, TX, US, Architecture Model Fabricator
While at METALAB, my partner and I facilitated communication between two architecture firms to execute a shared design vision. While in this role, I was responsible for communicating with various vendors, preparing 3D and Adobe files for fabrication, and assisting in building a physical model of a memorial for an architecture competition.
