I have been in a design role for 19 years, spanning various project types including high-rise: commercial, hospitality, lab, education, athletic facilities, and retail. I have spent the last 10 years in a senior design role, working with teams and coordinating with consultants to achieve project goals and align with the client's design ambitions.
Before returning to Boston, I moved to Los Angeles and worked in Santa Monica for six years on various hospitality and commercial projects. I've worked in New England for 13 years since then - the primary being for ten years at a nationally recognized firm of Elkus Manfredi Architects. Initially, I worked on DD-CD documentation until joining the conceptual design teams for multiple projects. I was part of the Boston 2024 design team that originally won the bid for the Olympics. While at EMA, I worked on several projects ranging from high-rise mixed-use, apartment/dorm, master-planning, and lab/research projects across the country for 10 years.
I am looking for an experience that expands and challenges my abilities through collaboration with colleagues to develop unique projects that meet our collected design goals. I am proficient in CAD, Revit, Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Enscape, Microsoft Office, and other similar programs for presentation and detailed work, depending on the project phase. I begin a project by sketching ideas and presenting those with similar reference material to a client to convey the nature of the concept. As the project evolves, more refined presentations and detailed drawings are required to reflect the project's scope. While I would have multiple projects in the design/approval phase, I would still work with a team to develop the SD-CD phase of each project to maintain the integrity of the initial design that the group had realized.
