I am a Mexican-American painter and writer based in Los Angeles looking for positions that can mix my experience as an Administrative Assistant and my passion for working in the art world. My experience as an Administrative Assistant begins at UCLA as I served the Basic Needs Manager at the Community Programs Office, also known as the multi-cultural center on campus. Through this position, I was able to development my office administrative skills while also getting to engage and learn about students from different backgrounds, cultures, and perspectives. Currently working with the Los Angeles Dodgers, I am assisting the Senior Manager of Payroll and Staffing with similar duties that range from acting as a department liaison, handling correspondence, and scheduling employees.
Outside of work hours and in my free time, I work on creating paintings, writing poetry, and capturing film to express my creative side and and capture my life experiences. Hoping to find a place with a creative studio, art gallery, or design firm that can make use of my administrative experience and creative skills to help promote professional development, take on more leadership opportunities, and gain the experience needed to make my way to becoming a Creative Director.

I graduated from UCLA with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and a Minor in Chicano Studies. Major courses that influenced my personal and career aspirations include the Sociology of Emotions, Radical Woman of Latin American Art, and Baroque Art in Europe. These courses helped me evaluate the usage and purpose of emotions in social interactions and helped gain perspective on the hard work and meaning of art.
