Having recently graduated from Pratt Institute with a Bachelor of Architecture (with Honors) degree, I had the honor of being the class valedictorian and speaking at our commencement ceremony. As Chinese-Indonesian who grew up in Singapore, I am passionate about promoting inclusivity and advocating for diverse voices and was able to use my platform as Co-President of Pratt’s International Students Association to foster connections and bridge cultural gaps within the community.
In the academic realm, I was a design TA, and have been consistently on the President’s List for high academic achievement, and also had the opportunity to study abroad in the prestigious Rome program. My final degree project focuses on post-human architecture, in an effort to reintroduce biodiversity into abandoned landscapes. With my interest in urban and landscape design, historical preservation, and cultures of different communities, I am passionate about projects that are environmentally focused, for a more sustainable future, and would like to become a licensed architect in New York one day.
