My academic experience focuses on understanding interiority with architectural thinking. This immanence is sometimes manifested in the function of the building, and sometimes in the history and context of the building. In my recent research, I am very interested in how economic conditions, policies, gender, sexual orientation, race, and other factors shape contemporary spaces.

In addition to adaptive reuse, I also have design experience in other related fields. This includes architectural design, interior design, and graphic design. My three internship experiences included these three different designs. My undergraduate degree emphasized interdisciplinary studies with the fashion industry based on environmental design. In the field of architectural design, I have participated in the design of primary schools, docks, and office buildings as part of a small architectural design team, and have also completed the design of a small resort hotel with my partner in my own name. In addition to design work, I also have experience in strategic consulting. This includes commercial space standard setting for retail brands and real estate development strategy consulting for real estate developers. At the same time, my teaching assistant experience in RISD gave me a certain understanding of architectural hand-drawing and education.
