About

Experienced Master Architect with a successful track record in the Architecture & Urban Planning industry, Interior Design and Sustainable Design Research. I have actively participated in a panoply of projects of great significance for the Special Administrative Region of Macao and Portugal, involving managing multiple disciplines, teams and scales, ranging from the more comprehensive ones (urbanism and city planning) to interior design. The complex, large-scale projects delivered as a senior or lead architect include the Cotai Ferry Terminal (detail design and construction management), the Cotai Vehicle Inspection Centre (from concept to hand-over), the Macau Customs Department Office tower (from concept to hand-over), the Macau East Line Light-Rail Transit System planning and, the comprehensive Northern Macau Public Spaces requalification and refurbishment project encompassing nine public squares and a pedestrian flyover (from concept to hand-over).

Since being assigned as a Managing Partner for Arquitectos Associados in 2018, I was responsible for developing and implementing team protocols and procedures, credited for achieving company milestones, securing high-profile projects, winning tender competitions and delivering complex projects. As a team leader, I am creative, adaptable, proactive and a problem-solver with solid people management and communication skills. I am also the founder of E.R.D.L., a design think tank focusing on environmental and sustainable research and innovation. I have held the position of Lecturer for the Interior Design and Exhibition Design courses at the Macau Polytechnic Institute University School of Arts.

My Master’s Thesis focused on Minimal Housing as a Sustainability Criterion by researching, finding, studying and developing strategies that enhance the functionality and efficiency of liveable space in its most diminutive viable dimensions.

Registered Architect in Macao SAR and Portugal.
