I am Valeria Lobo Colmenares, a 21-year-old currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in design in Architecture at the University of Florida. I moved from Venezuela to the United States when I was 14 years old. With basic knowledge of the English language, and in addition to having to assimilate to a completely different culture, the role of art and creation as a form of expression came to my aid more than ever before. This in tandem with my natural interest between mathematics and engineering made architecture the perfect fit for me - a marriage of my two passions.
