About

My name is Ziming Yan and I am a recent graduate with a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Virginia Tech and a Master of Science. Architecture and Urban Design degree from University of California. Los Angeles. I am passionate about architecture and design, and am eager to contribute my skills and knowledge to the industry.

During my time at university, I had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects that allowed me to develop my skills in design, drafting, and project management. Additionally, I completed an internship with 3andwich Studio/ He Wei Studio, where I gained hands-on experience working on real-world architectural projects.

In addition to my academic and professional qualifications, I am also a multi-disciplinary artist, with a strong background in Game Design, Visualization, and CGI. This artistic background has given me a unique perspective on design challenges, allowing me to bring a high level of creativity to each project.

He Wei Studio, Beijing, architecture intern

During my architecture internship, I was primarily responsible for creating diagrams and 3D models for various projects. Specifically, my responsibilities included:
Diagrams drawing: I worked closely with architects to develop diagrams for various aspects of the design process. This involved creating sketches and drawings to communicate design ideas, as well as using software programs such as AutoCAD and SketchUp to create more detailed diagrams.
3D model making: I was also responsible for creating 3D models of projects using software programs such as Revit and Rhino. These models were used to communicate design ideas to clients and other stakeholders, as well as to test the feasibility of different design options.
Overall, my internship experience gave me valuable experience in the technical aspects of architecture, including the use of software programs and the importance of clear communication in the design process.
