Hi, I'm Marina!

I'm a passionate ArchitectUrban Planner, and Urban Designer with 5+ years of professional experience managing projects from conception to construction, including small-large architectural projects in 2D, 3D, and BIM platforms.

Additionally, I work as a freelancer architect and interior designer in my free time and have had experiences as an event producer for Rio2C, RioMarket, AnimaMundi Rio de Janeiro/Sao Paulo, and ComicCon Sao Paulo.

I'm enthusiastic and curious about innovative approaches and passionate about how empowering communities can create more equitable and resilient environments for our cities!

- Led the approval, detailing and tight deadline construction phase of a 16-story affordable housing project (Minha Casa, Minha Vida)
- Coordinated a team of four interns working on a fully customizable high-end 12-story residential building project
- Managed the relationship with clients (construction companies such as Cyrela, Mozak, Opportunity, and Tegra) and provided weekly updates on project execution, and led project change discussions
- Assisted the partner in a high-end, 20-story residential multifamily building and supervised contractors' drawings, execution, and timeline

- Collaborated in the reform and interior design of high-end residential projects by performing functions such as project design, executive project management, interior design, detailing, construction supervision, document, and 3D models

- Contributed to the design and construction of Eleva's schools, a new standard for equitable education in Rio de Janeiro
- Participated in various projects such as kiosks, offices, houses, and restaurants, performing functions from project design to 3D modeling, including executive project management, interior design, detailing, and construction supervision

- Assisted senior architects with the executive project, detailing, and construction administration for AQWA CORPORATE, a 141,000m2 class A corporate complex with LEED Gold Certification, a project designed by Foster + Partners and developed by Tishman Speyer

- Geohub Proposal and Report created in ArcGISPro, in partnership with the Jesuits of Canada, aimed to develop a feasible project that can support environmental and land justice related to land ownership (01/2023 - Present)
Design and construct a solar-powered inflatable pavilion in partnership with Areacubica for the May graduation ceremony at GSAPP Columbia University (05/2023)

- Designed and developed a digital dashboard in partnership with ITSRio to facilitate government access and increase accessibility to the Smart-City Plan of Niterói City in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (12/2022)

- Developed a "Blue New Deal" for Sausalito, CA in a case study conducted in partnership with A. Wong and H. Shah, with assistance and support from Sausalito Mayor Janelle Kellman and John Di Re and Nika from the Working Waterfront Coalition. (12/2022)

Designed a master plan titled 'Architecture and the Urban Residual Paradigm: Resignifying the Caju Port Zone ' for the sustainable requalification of Caju's Port Zone, proposing solutions to diverse socio-economic issues. The plan includes the development of educational centers, social housing, and a WtE plant that generates clean energy from the garbage removed from the polluted Guanabara Bay in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
